Why People Abuse Drugs

What are drugs:  Drugs are substances that cause change in the body and mind. There are two types of drugs, presscribed drugs and illegal drugs. Precribed drugs are drugs that a doctor gives you to help you with an illness. Illegal drugs are drugs that can harm or even kill you . You can obtain these types of drugs through people called drug dealers.
What drugs do people abuse: Many drugs that get abused are illegal drugs. The most commonly abused drugs are alcohol and marijuana. Other drugs are acid, cocaine, crack, heroin.
Why people abuse drugs: Most of the times drug abusers know the side effects of the drugs. But they do them anyways. Drugs do nothing but cause problems they very seldom make them go away. Most people who abuse drugs are teens to elderly to even newborns. Teens abuse drugs because they feel unwanted or they try to fit in with the so called ''cool kids''. Or they see their friends doing it so they think hey if it doesn't hurt them then it wont hurt me either. But is a friend really a friend if he/she is willing to let you but something in your body to arm you and the answer is NO.
Who abuses drugs: It is not just teens it is elderly and even newborn babies. Newborns kind of get the shaft in this deal see they are only drug abusers and have withdrawl symptoms because their parent has either used drugs while she was preganant with the baby. Then when that baby is born that drug gets taken away from them then they experience very bad withdrawl symptoms like sweating, crying excessively and others.
Helping drug addicts: There is numerous was to help a drug addict. they for one can go to a drug rehab which is where they stay at the hospital until they are deemed suitable and drug free to leave. second is quitting cold turkey  which is where you just give up the drug all on your own without the help of doctors or rehabs. The third is to just never start even if you don't think that you have an addictive personality that doesn't really matter because the sooner you don't start then the easier it is to quit.
so I guess that the message I'm trying to get across is that drugs are bad can kill you and eat up a fortune of your money which could have been used to be spent on something useful instead of a silent death certificate.
